What's your opinion on fixed damage vs rolling for damage? (lemmy.world)

Damage by weapon rating instead of making a separate damage roll. Yes or no?

Wasn't that net hits + base? 4th ed would have you rolling dozens of dice sometimes, I'm not sure you'd have time to finish combat if you had to then go and roll damage afterwards. Though you could become so impervious to damage and so incredibly deadly that combat lost a lot of it's luster once you'd accumulated an appreciable amount of karma.

Yep it was hard and Shadowrun 4th have a lot problems but net hits + base dam seems easier to me than rolling damage
