Apparently they didn’t feel bad to wear, only that Lockwood had trouble seeing through them in a way that Kellerman didn’t.
But the way they were made, laminating actual aluminum foil between two layers of a regular contact lense, was hella dangerous and both of them are lucky that nothing broke or slipped out because it would have blinded them.
