What Is Your Dream for Mozilla? (mozillafoundation.tfaforms.net)

In case you're not on the Mozilla Foundation mailing list, I thought people would be interested in this to let people know about the direction of AI you want Mozilla to go.

Just be respectful; it goes a longer way to making your voice heard than insults do.

Edit: Here's the link if you're not on Piefed: https://mozillafoundation.tfaforms.net/201

Link?

Anyway, my answer is, it already happened and it failed. The phone. They made a Mozilla phone. It ran Linux. It didn't go anywhere. (I think it ran some flavour of Ubuntu?)

Should be part of the post; I made it as a link post but it's here: https://mozillafoundation.tfaforms.net/201

Thanks, I saw where the link should have been but it was just blank. Might have been an error. Who knows. Appreciate the link!

Oh sorry about that! I wonder if it's a Piefed vs Lemmy thing. Thanks for letting me know! I'll edit the original post to put it in the body too.

I see, you're on Piefed. I've heard of Piefed. I'm still relatively new to the Fediverse. So my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that Lemmy is like a free/open source clone of Reddit (I mean, it kind of is), but Piefed is like a fork of Lemmy. Different people make it, but it's similar enough that users can fully interact. However, not everything may work 100% between them.

So when I saw your post, I saw the space where a link would go, but it was blank, there was nothing to click. On your side it probably looked fine. So the issue is technically on my end since you didn't do anything wrong, the software I use just didn't display it properly. Unfortunately, it's down to the developers to fix stuff like that.

The instance I'm on is considering a Piefed server and I've heard nothing but good things. So I'm looking forward to seeing if I can migrate/clone my account to their Piefed instance.

I don't think they're forks or anything; they're difference software's but they interact with each other through ActivityPub, so Piefed can see Lemmy communities and Lemmy can see Piefed communities (it's also what lets you see Lemmy/Piefed posts in Mastodon and reply with your Mastodon account).
