Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Vaping: better for you than than smoking and deters people with cliche pickup lines? Maybe I should give it another shot....

I'd never live with a smoker or vaper that's going to kill themselves slowly while gunking up my house, car, PC, curtains, and even my own lungs

ohhhh wait, have you spent this whole time thinking I'm saying vaping is something you should pick up? Because no, I meant that its healthier than cigarettes, and you should really transition to vaping if you still smoke cigs.

What you meant was "less dangerous than cigarettes." Which is true. I'll grant you.
Nah, I meant what I said and while it's very mildly ambiguous, it's not so ambiguous that you get to tell someone to kill themselves over it. You just misinterpreted my comment and decided to be extremely shitty to me because of it.

Tbf, if you spent 25yr addicted to jumping in front of trucks, yeah I'd probably recommend that while you should stop, if you need an intermediary then switching to smart cars is at least good harm reduction.

I think the risk here is that people who vape will be even more interested.
Nah, the problem is that no one is comparing anything to smoking, so for her to start out the conversation by bringing up the benefit of vaping compared to smoking is a bit of a red flag.
Isn't he directly saying that she's smoking, though? It seems like from her perspective he just used a pickup line about something he thought she was doing, she corrected him and (presumably) started to mention how it's way healthier than cigarettes, and he noped out.
Not really anything wrong here, just a bit cringe overall.
In the first panels she is clearly not vaping, I think the pick up line is that she is "smokin' hot" and then shes completely misinterprets it and pulls out her vape
Yeah, that indeed seems to be the whole premise of the joke.
