Ad for Fennec when sharing a link on Whatsapp (lemmy.ml)

Hello I just noticed when I shared a link to a friend on WhatsApp from Fennec I got a little as message: "Shared with Fennec" and a link to Mozilla's website. Has anybody had this too? I would to disable if possible.

Yeah, they added that a couple of versions ago. You can disable it in the settings, go to "Link sharing", you'll find a toggle in this screen.

Thanks for this. I don't see that option, but I'm on a Samsung S22, so it may mean that "feature" hasn't rolled to us yet. Just updated Fennec from F-Droid.

I always remembered Firefox Android adding text "shared via" to shared text, did they just replace it?
