Organizing in working class parties such as PSL so that we can end overseas wars, sanctions, and bombings forever, and finally end the imperialist system forever. Only through establishing socialism can we escape this never-ending death spiral and the damage it inflicts not only on US citizens but the entire global south. Decolonialism and ending the settler-colonialism of the US Empire is also critical.

Voting just doesn't do much to steer the empire to begin with, both parties largely react to the ongoing forces at play from the capitalist system. This also is compounded by the fact that there are very few swing states where voting even makes a real difference in pure electoral results.
Not voting against them still gives them ground for no benefit.
They're on the same side.
Pretending that they're the same is just as delusional as pretending the Democrats are good. I agree that we have to get organized, but if we can't even fucking vote then actual organization is a pipedream.
They both serve capital above all else. They have differences, but are on the same side. Voting matters far less than organization, even if we couldn't vote we could still organize.
I don't really care for the use of allegory to make an argument, especially not the strawman you're making.
Voting isn't a genuine lever for working class influence, because both options on the lever lead to capitalist control and domination. You have your priorities flipped, organization is what's important, it's the primary means by which the working class has historically won concessions and how revolutionaries have managed to establish socialism around the globe.
Voting is the extra. It takes the least amount of effort, and has the least amount of results. I don't personally care who you vote for or if you vote if you actually show up and organize. If voting makes you happy and feel secure, then go for it, but it won't fix any of our problems nor will it prevent conditions from worsening, because those are intrinsic to living in late-stage imperialism.
Ideally you vote for PSL, because neither party will help.
You should show that to Renee Good's family, or maybe one of the thousands of people in a brand new concentration camp instead of with their families like they were 2 years ago. I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it.
Or maybe try telling it to all the people of color shot by cops from 2020-2024, or the kids in cages that never went away when a Democrat was elected president but just silently forgotten about and suddenly ignored by the same media that had been using them for cheap political points during election season, or the thousands of people in NOT brand-new concentration camps but the ones that have existed the whole fucking time. Or are you saying that none of that shit mattered then since your blue team was in the big boy chair, but only matters now that a cheeto is office and it was a white person that got executed by the bipartisan fascists this time? Despicable.
Of course I was outraged that that was all happening under Democrats. You might notice I haven't been praising them.
Just because they're both awful, doesn't mean that one of them isn't worse. Pointing out "but hey, blue team bad too" doesn't contradict that. Failing to vote against Republicans is just giving them ground. In 2024 we gave them ground and they built brand new concentration camps on it. Are you not outraged at that? Do you not wish that could have been avoided?
I'm all for organization. It is quite literally the only path to positive change here. But that doesn't mean we can stop voting. We have to do both.
If you really do genuinely believe that they're both the same, then why even bring up the idea of voting? Why spend time, effort and attention convincing people to reduce their civic engagement instead of convincing them to increase their civic engagement?
