First year of college, some friends and I picked up a monopoly board and proceeded to play the most unhinged, ancap-pilled version of the game we could possibly have engineered. We were trading properties for fractions of their cost and making contracts whereby others were immune from rent on certain squares or we made promises to bail each other out of jail. Can't remember who won but I'm positive we walked away with a better understanding of how modern capitalism works.
lol, that reminds of this unhinged Cataan game that went down where we managed to get into a situation of IOUs leveraged against future resource earnings and one of the players that broke a contract.
it was hilarious how the entire table turned against them and embargoed everything they wanted to do, even at great personal cost.
