Yo they're working on clothes mechanics again? Heck ya, its weird that my clothes management solutions are way more complicated and in depth than my agriculture or my defences.

You have to constantly create clothes, create storage for your dwarfs to keep clothes, and the only method of destroying clothes is creating a trash compactor that magically atomizes clothes. At the scale of up to 200 dwarfs its a lot and it needs to be done immediately or they all start getting groggy and go insane.

I would start by making clothes more durable, make them repairable, and either make them disappear when they're done or add clothes to a furnace option.

DFHack has some good commands for managing the clothing, but I think the base game should just have jobs queue up in the clothier shop automatically, potentially based on a fortress wide outfit. And yeah, worn items should basically disappear when replaced unless they can be shredded / melted into something usable.

I think if the work orders menu would be searchable / sortable / filterable that would help a lot already
