Human body is a nightmare and needs a redesign.

We need enamel that grows back. More robustly built eyes that don't get bent out of shape and lose effectiveness. A user replaceable HEPA filter somewhere along the windpipe. An update to the liver firmware to get rid of hangovers. Most importantly, and I can't stress this enough, we need certain kinds of body hair to be opt-in only.

I want my tail back

There are so many neat little things I could do

It could hold my stuff or untie my shoe

I want my tail back!

Just think how useful it could be on the loo

Well, I’ll tell you why: those are bug fixes. One of them fixes that bug that Nancy had when she tried to install the thing on a computer that didn’t have Internet Explorer. Another one fixes that bug that occurs in low memory conditions. Another one fixes that bug that occurred when the file is on a floppy disk and the user yanks out the disk in the middle.

This aged like milk.

Not really. Sure, the tech has changed, but the underlying logic remains the same.
