This may be satire but it does really capture that casual assumption they seem to share that everyone else has the same lust for violence that they do. Most people have to be pushed pretty far to even consider violence, especially lethal violence. For them it seems like every conflict is an opportunity to violently escalate and prove their strength.
Knowing nothing about this outlet this seems more like wish casting than satire tbh. It's just not absurd enough to be joking, other than the idea that top ICE officials would be worried about consequences.
