That's not a direct quote. The actual one isn't great, but it's a lot less of a general statement on trans people than you're presenting it as.

No, it wasn't about her specifically. It was a general statement.
A general statement about people like her on the internet who swarm him with similar arguments about why their identity gets them special rights to have bad politics.
It had nothing to do with Maia Poet, nor was he responding to someone using her transness as a shield for bad politics. He just spouted off with saying a lot of people might be trans mostly as a way to claim a marginalized identity. That is completely different from saying being marginalized doesn't give you an excuse to marginalize others.
