Not sure about principles, yhea, foreign coups are bad. but the US us in such a state that I don't think another foreign coup could make things worse. especially for immigrant communities (stuck in the greencard process, did it all legally, but the system has been halted for so long it puts me at a serious risk of being disappeared).
The jews in Germany were probably glad there was a foreign intervention to end the nazis.
You cannot possibly be serious, that anyone should defend that man on the pretense of any principled stance. He is 'at best' the most useful idiot in American history (which is saying something) and more likely he belongs on a short list of the worst people to come out of the 20th century.
Principles? I would not piss on the man if he caught flame. I would not stop him from solving the puzzle box from Hellraiser. Nobody owes him any measure of decency or common feeling, and he is no rightful claimant to the sentiments of humanity. He is an avowed malignant narcissist with no love, no charm or sense of humour, no empathy, no wit, and nothing but proud scorn for his many victims. You could hardly create a more loathsome being from whole cloth, and any ill that befalls him is a genuine cause for joy. Under no circumstances should you allow your principles to comfort him.
