Is it not disjunctive because of the slashes? Some people say be vegan, others say eat insects (I don't think that's true either, but it's at least not a contradiction)
I parsed it as (You should eat bugs to) (save the environment/help animals/be vegan).
Yeah I see what you mean because the central theme is about eating insects now that I took a closer look at the blog.
Self contradiction is legitimate and necessary anyways
