I would buy FO3 Remastered that shit was so cash

If they did a good job with it, I think that could be a real winner.

....but Bethesda has a history of not doing a good job with remasters, doubly so for fallout products.

Other than Oblivion, what else have they even remastered/remade?

The Oblivion remaster wasn't even Bethesda, but it still plays exactly the same.

That's what I'd want from a Fallout 3 remaster. Like, literally if it was just "Oblivion Remastered: Fallout Edition" because that's basically what Fallout 3 was to begin with.

I was so disappointed upon hearing that the graphics were gonna use UE5, but the logic was still GameBryo/Creation.

It's the fuckin' logic that absolutely sucks and needs more work. They didn't even bother to fix bugs! Every bug that still exists in the last version of the vanilla OG game exists in the remake, as if they literally did just copy and paste the scripts and logic code.

I mean that was partially the point. They left in a lot of the bugs and glitches because fans liked them, it added to the charm of Oblivion.

I mean just listen to the dialog and how NPCs act. It's literally just new graphics with good ol' Oblivion, and that's exactly what a lot of people wanted.

Giants smacking you all the way to Masser and Secunda is fun.

The game crashing or scripts not firing properly causing softlocks aren't. I feel like people played the original with the Unofficial Patch so long, they forgot about all the bugs that didn't ensue hilarity the game has without it.

So I want to count the FO4 Anniversary edition, plus the ~10 re-releases of Skyrim.

I feel like there's been more, but off the top of my head, that's all that's coming to mind.

I haven't seen FO4 anniversary edition yet (is it a free update or a paid one?), but if its like Skyrim's I wouldn't even consider it to be a remaster. All the Skyrim one really did was add more flora and particle effects and include some fan made mods as official content such as the fishing.

Figures. But it also sounds like they didn't even add more little world details this time (the flora and particle effects of insects I mentioned before), making it even lazier!

They'd need to get a new game out with an actually new engine before I'd entertain that a remaster would be worth it.

Starfield might've been interesting, but the old engine sandbagged it from the start.
