Can I have an Article or something about what Israel have done? I haven't caught up about that.
You been living under a rock?
he means this year
Wow, all I did was make coffee
Who can afford a rock in this economy?
This is good on many levels
I don't follow any News sources so most of my News just comes from Social Media (I do try to factcheck tho) and most of the things that I actually see are American Politics, I heard about the Israel Gaza conflict existing that was all really.
Well, it's been a very big topic in American politics since Oct. 7th, as the majority of Americans have now become aware that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians with our tax dollars, and most of our politicians are complicit. Even the right-wing has largely woken up to this, though there is some extra baggage in their case.
Do you interact with other people from time to time? :)
Do I interact with other people? Yes? Do I have friends who I can/do talk to about politics? I wish.
We consider it inpolite to talk world politics with friends here. That's news stuff, not person stuff.
Are you Russian perhaps?
Curious! Since politics is such an important part of your life, if not the most important, how do you reason for not discussing it? I mean, if you let the news define your opinions?
Well ok. We do talk about it but you're close then. And idle. Similiar to talk about the weather but with more conflict potential.
Maybe because we have a lot of cultures and lifestyles in a close space. There would be no end to conflicts if not for the, uh, "good swiss compromise" (gut-schweizerischer Kompromiss).
(I accidentally deleted the parent comment. How to undelete in voyager?)
Oh okay. So no deeper discussions unless you're like family? Interesting, we also like to compromise and avoid conflicts, but politics are not generally avoided (some do of course) even at work.
They have been carrying out the complete destruction of the Gaza strip and slaughter of the Palestinian people who live there. It's a part of current flare up of the conflict which began on October 7th 2023 after the Hamas attack on Israel, although the Israel-Palestine conflict as a whole has been ongoing for decades.
Scholars have identified Israel's actions as genocide because the actions they have taken are consistent with actions that would be associated with trying to eliminate an entire people. Indiscriminate killing, withholding and blocking of aid, targeting hospitals, cutting electricity, and general dehumanisation.
Wait until they hear about Ukraine
the scale isn't even close, estimates range that 10% of the population was executed in the last couple years. with no signs of stopping, even with the "ceasefire", and Israel has the support of major nations creaming themselves at videos of headless palestinian toddlers.
not even comparable to Ukraine
Poster in 10’ in their echo chamber.
