Whenever I take out the kitchen trash, she darts over, watches me tie it, then heads to the door, first one out, over to the outdoor bin, watches as I drop it in there, first one back into the house and over to the kitchen trash as I replace the bag.
Then perhaps a treat for all her hard supervisory work.

Mine watches from the open front door. One time I went out of view to check the mail. He took off down the street. Now I'm sure to close the door when checking the mail.

Honestly, can you be sure you wouldn't get distracted and forget the next step if she weren't there waiting for you? You might wander out into the road and NEVER COME BACK!

I don't have a dog, and my cat doesn't micromanage, so I have to put the new bag in before I walk away with the old one, or I'll find myself fishing out a banana peel and cursing at myself.

Your good girl deserves her treat.

This would help me and my wife. We both get distracted and this would remind us to finish the task before doing anything else.
