Don't get second opinion syndrome. Just because the "good guys" are actually bad, doesn't mean the "bad guys" aren't also bad.

Good guys and bad guys don't exist in real life though, because real life has no screenwriter. Better to learn the perspective of all parties and cross-reference them like an investigator

Whoops lol just noticed your quotation marks, seems like you probably roughly agree

Indeed, I mean "good guys" and "bad guys" in the usual narrative !

This kinda post is also stuck in a sort of a false dichotomy where you have to choose between the US or Russia. Why ?

I'll stick to Europe, personally, although I'm aware there's lots of sucky stuff here as well.

Europe is essentially the vassals of the US Empire, so any pro-European stance is almost always in the context of perpetuating imperialism or trying to gain more leverage to no longer be vassals of empire. It's impirtant to recognize that, in a conflict between Russia and the US Empire, the US Empire winning continues to fuel imperialism, while Russia winning results in a dramatically changed geopolitical field. In the context of bringing about socialism globally, the US Empire is by far the largest obstacle.

Good guys and bad guys definitely exist. Most who seek power are bad guys though.

Western liberals continue to get their politics from children's fiction

I am able to read and think critically. How can you understand anything if you don't read it and apply critical thinking to it? If you just read one side of media you are missing part of the picture.

I also don't live where you do. I don't think Russia is any worse than the US or Europe.

[–] termaxima@slrpnk.net -2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Reading two different lies doesn't make you any more informed, though. You don't have to participate in this charade at all.

[–] hamid@crazypeople.online 6 points 3 days ago

I don't assume that Russians are lying more or less than Americans or Europeans. You believe this because you lack the ability to think critically and hate Russians because your government told you.

Enablers are bad, yes, but invading aggressors are worse.

Your comment reads like “both sides” Russian propaganda.

Imagine believing western imperialists aren't invading aggressors. Tell me you live in the imperial core without telling me you live in the imperial core.
