Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

As society at large is hyper-optimized to constantly measure the size of women, especially celebrity women, we are simply (more) ignorant to when a man's body changes shape. We also categorize eating disorders and the bodyshapes that are attached to it as feminine, so Ozempic continues to reinforce that by marketing itself to women and the users we will notice the most are going to be women.
I think there's also some element of how men are seen to be "working" for their bodies even when roiding up, whereas GLP inhibitors are seen as "instant", reinforcing misogynist ideology that suggests men work for their goals and women want instant gratification.
