Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

Thank you and happy chatting!

Everyone is like "everyone should be made to do retail/service work like it's national service" and while I get the vibe I just think it would make customers WORSE if they knew their wageslaves weren't allowed to quit on the spot lmao. Instead workers should form self-defence committees to batter the kneecaps of anyone who so much as tries to do the thing with the cash to "make giving change easier".

It would also make the most unpleasant and entitled customers even worse, since they would have the attitude of "when I was in that job, I wasn't lazy like these awful workers!"
