I heard that if you're feeling thirsty, you've already been dehydrated for a while.
Unless your "I will die on this hill" comment was meant to be the punchline, in which case, I'll show myself out.
Ah, those are cases where the thirst reflex isn't reliable, like in the case of older adults, certain conditions like dementia where people literally forget to drink or eat, in infants, during sickness, and athletes.
