Palestinians at fault because they resist colonist occupiers which happen to be Jewish. The horror.

An occupier is an occupier; religion’s got nothing to do with it. Who goes to a rave right next to an open-air prison that’s held Palestinians for a generation for the crime of still existing in Palestine?
Religion has a little bit to do with it. Zionism takes full advantage of its "holocaust industry" (as Norm would say) to continue it's genocide. Jewish people can absolutely separate themselves from Israel and Zionism. But Zionism is absolutely dependent on people believing in Jewish supremacy.
True, thought they’d have leveraged anything for their settler agenda, and Judaism just happened to be very convenient. In North America we invented “whiteness,” and considered natives to be Christless “heathens.”
The government of Israel is intentionally conducting a horrific genocide of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children. I want to be absolutely crystal clear that I think it's a crime against humanity and the perpetrators must be tried and any good court must convict.
I can't get onboard with bloodthirsty statements about how "hopefully" a lot of Israeli civilians died. That's just a personal thing for me, and the comment reads, to me, as hoping that civilians died.
I understand the sentiment that they're settlers and occupiers, and I understand that they may have even held awful, incorrect, pro-colonialism opinions and had harmful beliefs, but personally for me I can't get on board with sincerely hoping that unarmed civilians are murdered en masse.
Edit: sorry, yeah you're right, it doesn't read as "Jews" specifically and I understand that intentionally blurring the lines between Judaism and Israeli people is a zionist tactic. I apologise, I still think the statement is uncomfortable but you're right in what you've said.
Blaming the entire genocide on “the government” and not assigning any responsibility to the individuals perpetrating it (majority of Israelis), is quite frankly infantilizing and strange.
Imagine saying “the German government did the holocaust”. This is just coddling nonsense.
OC’s joke was a bit extra. It’s not one I’d make myself, but I can empathize given the enormity of nearly a century of settler-colonial criminality.
I’m sure some innocents Whites were killed during the genocide of indigenous North Americans and in various slave revolts, but these were situations where no other options were left, aside from continuing to suffer under your oppressors. Palestinians had a legal right to do what they did that day under UN law. Previously.
To put it another way, they're religious extremists trying to ethnically cleanse an area to impose thir way of life. What makes them fundamentally different from Islamic extremists like Al-Qaeda or Hamas? Just the religion of the group doing it?
They're fundamentally different from Hamas because, despite the claims of Zionist atrocity propaganda, Hamas is a legitimate resistance movement fighting against foreign occupation while Zionist settlers seek to not only impose such an occupation but also drive the natives out (even Hamas doesn't seek to eradicate all the Jews despite Zionist claims, colonizers have always feared that the people they seek to exterminate will try to exterminate them).
