I'll echo ReadFanon's comment. Hydra Launcher is open source and you can add trusted sources from https://hydralinks.cloud/ (old link, will redirect to the correct address)

Then you can use Heroic to run the installer before adding the game to it. I wish Hydra would have added Proton/umu support already so that you could just do everything from there, specially since it has achievement support.
