Came here to say this; I genuinely wish the entire left would never stop harping on about this; the right are more than happy to harp on about any nonsense they can and then turn it into a serious matter (like crying about DEI and turning it from a non-issue into one seriously discussed in government), so I wish every left or left adjacent content creator would point this out and never let it go.

Y'know what, that would be an interesting econometric. How many avocado toasts a house is worth. It would measure the relation between consumable and appreciable products, and possibly indicate how artificially inflated real estate prices are.
