I know it's considered cringe to say "oh Trump did it this time!"
But I am actually seeing some MAGA people seemingly genuinely reacting negatively to this, irl and online. Reiner was a Lib but generally a beloved wholesome guy and his murder was considered tragic across the aisle. I don't think this is going to "ruin" him but I think this was an actual bad move on his admins part.
I mean not to drag a murder victim, but usually kids dont murder their parents, unless there is something seriously abusive going on - yes even addicts, and usually addiction has its own reasons related to issues in childhood (if you are not working class and get hooked on oxy via your doctor because you stumped your toe or something).
I dunno, some people go down a dark path on their own once they're out in the world independently.
I mean Neil Gaiman was considered a progressive darling who was totally unproblematic. Besides using a knife as a murder weapon is usually psychologically speaking very intimate (he is a rich american, so a gun would be a very obvious choice, especially if it was to get money for more drugs) and murdering both parents?
Also, he is rich not particular left alone in the world.
Not to sound too true crime podcaster, but there is more than just a "crazy crackhead son" murdering his "liberal costal elite" parents.
