That is a supremely weird moment. Did the woman behind you (lady seems too refined for this... person) follow up with additional pleas or whatever? Like, who the fuck asks the rando in front of them in line to pay for their shit?
And it's Doritos!
She appeared to be in her fifties or sixties, black, homeless-looking. I was after all in an area teeming with homeless people. When I saw the Doritos I thought f*** no. However if she had a salad or something nutritious I might've had more of a dilemma in my mind, like MAYBE would've said yes ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ After more thinking about it, I've had questionable people ask me little weird inconsequential favors before only to discover that they were testing me to see how much they could ask of me and then they started asking bigger ridiculous favors and wouldn't leave me alone, so I know when to say no. Like I always say no to everybody now in my older wiser jaded years.
To your other question, no, she stood there a moment then she turned around and left the queue.
Doritos dont require refridgeration or equipment to cook them. They remain edible for a long time as long as you roll down the open end. They are easy to carry, easy to hide in case someone else plans on taking them. Also they are cheap. People are more willing to give up a few dollars.
Do NOT even try to convince me that Doritos are anything more than toxic waste. You can spend your money on anything you wish. I however wouldn't vomit a penny toward any purchase of nutrient-void toxic waste.
Thats because you have the resources to be able to have food options.
I'm homeless too!! I'm blocking you because you think Doritos are food. I studied nutrition for 20 years and it took me 10 of those years to stop craving the junk that my parents & media raised me on, and learn what real food is, and crave real food instead of lab-made addictive yummy colorful nutrient-void food that makes people wrinkly, dehydrated harbingers of cancer & malaise.
