I've been pondering a year off drinking just for health and tolerance reasons. At this point I can get through a handle of vodka over a long weekend and hardly stumble, it's hardly worth the cost anymore. Need to get on firmer footing with my foray into decaf coffee first, one vice at a time.

My week has been alright. Looking forward to a bigger than usual Christmas, but I'm way behind on gift shopping. We also got some promising developments in my wife's job hunt lately, which has started to feel a bit hopeless of late. Really looking forward to her getting back to work, despite how nice it is to have her around.

Honestly, it's so expensive isn't it. If you're pondering it, I'd say absolutely go for it! I've found loads of benefits to a sober year!

I also tried to decaffeinate for a month or so! I've cut out energy drinks, which I was doing 2x 500ml a day, but I'm on coffee instead now, although only one cup a day at work. Three or four cups a day when I'm at home though! Still, it's healthier than energy drinks. Way way way cheaper, too. Best of luck ๐Ÿ’ช

Job hunting is painful. I'm happy to hear your wife has had luck lately, and I hope it continues! ๐Ÿคž
