That may have been a misconception on my part (see the other replies to my comment). I did have another look recently and it doesn't seem nearly as bot-heavy as I remember. Again, it may just have been an unconscious bias I had. But I remember - maybe back when there was less activity on there, we're talking at least a year ago - it being dominated by bot posts and automated uploads/crossposts, e.g. ZippyBot etc. So it may well have been an old bias I held from back when it was a smaller instance. Btw I never said the bots were unmarked.
TL;DR: Mentally I shoved that instance into the same basket as lemmit.online, however that no longer seems to be the case.

Thx
Thanks for rechecking!
I went and assumed bot annoyance was about bots masquerading as people and outright bot spam, not legitimate use of bots to automate predictable posts (like weekly posts or relevant updates from a particular site). The fact you are bothering to point out that you never said the bots was unmarked lets me know I assumed incorrectly. Sorry.
Don't mention it! I'm glad people on Lemmy are capable of proper discussion/debates without it dissolving into arguments and chaos. It's strangely wholesome. :)
