The Picture of the Year for 2024 is "Cattle camp of the Mundari tribe, Terekeka, South Sudan", by Diego Delso. It depicts a Mundari man polishing the horns of one of his Watusi cows as a ritualistic and protective practice. The picture was taken just after sunset, and the smoke in the background is the result of cow dung bonfires.
