Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Food drives benefit you by having people on the streets that aren’t hungry and willing to rob you… So I guess you’re not any better than me.

Right, you can go ahead and reread that last paragraph. Plus the two sentences.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The parts where you say you basically do nothing except occasionally toss food in a bag, yet I’m out every weekend cleaning up my city? Lol, you aren’t gonna make me impressed.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

I don't have any need to impress a doomer, and you've more than proven every point I've made about you.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’ve proven that I do a lot more than you, and that I don’t just accept the status quo. I’m also not pulling The wool over my eyes pretending like my life is gonna get better magically. I’m guessing there might be a little religion in you… So sad.

Have the day you voted for

People who cover people with a doomer blanket because they disagree are bad people. Enjoy pretending you don’t live in America.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Where do you live?

Edit: Ahhh, the answer is Canada — it all makes sense now.

Yes, I definitely believe what the 6 day old doomposting account says. Very believable, not suspect.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My account isn’t 6 days old. Good gravy you’ve only got a few to rub together eh? Makes sense.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Oh, my mistake — you're a month old user that seems to either 1) not have posted a single comment outside of 7 days ago or 2) you delete your comments outside of a week.

Both are suspicious, I'm adding to your tag and giving you a nice tall glass of 'Shut the fuck up'.

No, then I wouldn't be able to call your future doomer bullshit.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 0 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Suit yourself. Not many people on here side with you. But I hope you have the day you cast a vote for.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

The delusion is strong in this one.

Edit: Stick to .ml. Those are your people.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Lmfao, I’m so far from a tankie. You, on the other hand, are a magat.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Uh huh — delusional, just like the .mlers. They are your people, after all.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 1 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

In which elections did you vote for Trump? Hah. In which elections do you vote?

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

What a stupid thing to comment, like I said — stick with the .mlers. They are your kind of stupid, worthless assholes.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

How’s the weather in Sacramento?

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 hours ago

Imagine coming close to doxxing me, good luck with the ban little guy.
