Why? They were caught cheating in Brazil, and now excessive wear on the part that they were caught cheating with got them disqualified. Just ๐จ
What happened in Brazil? I didn't find anything on a quick DDG search
Few teams were found using illegal skidblocks. Expanding during the race, preventing plankwear, shrinking during cooldown lap. Thereโs onboard from last year where max is already mentioning it. Noticing tincrease in sparks. The McLaren comeback, was per McLaren usual, powered by cheating.
huh, I hadn't heard about the Brazil cheating. Regardless, every team in F1 cheats or has cheated in the past in some way. It's the nature of the sport. Not that I condone unfair play, just that it happens.
