Part of me wants to give it a try but

Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat Easy Anti-Cheat

kinda makes me not want to accept it even if it's free lol. Assuming it'd even run on my system at all.

You could add it but just give it a negative review, citing that as the reason, and still be free to play it if you'd ever like to

Runs on linux, doesn't have access rights for that.

I should note EAC has userspace access, like the game, but if you distrust them you could run steam as it's own user with limited access to read files (and child processes would inherit that).

Cheating on linux is cool and fun, but remember don't cheat with people who don't consent to it (everyone deserves fun their way) and if you modify your character they may detect that server side.
