Being a massive alcoholic doesn’t inherently make him a massive prick.
Being a massive prick makes him a massive prick.
Meant more that it both contributed significantly to his death via liver failure, and to exacerbating his personality, which, like you say is what made him an asshole.
I thought he was short and average weight.
