that's like bad economics even if you're not anti-capitalist, like.. buying in-game currency instead of.. like.. physical toys, physical devices, and other stuff you can physically use and get..? Like, for example, if you don't play that gacha game you spent 100$ on, you.. kinda wasted 'em, while your PSP from years back can probably still run if it hasn't died yet
it's a worse idea than company scrip lol
at least those were physical and could be traded to other people
You could also sell the PSP later, or gift it to a sibling, etc
This is all a bunch of pointless ones and zeroes that exist solely on a company's servers somewhere and they can delete all of it on a whim
Hell you can mod the PSP and get way more functionality and use out of it than you would've legally
