Miss the little guy a lot. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him and miss him. I often visit his grave outside and just sigh to myself. It sucks, but I gave him the best life I possibly could, he didn't want for nothing. So I take some solace in that fact, that in his time here on earth I did right by him and loved him dearly.
That's the best we can offer them and they teach us how to love the next one better.
I will eventually get another cat, I hope at least.

You're right, I also read a book on pet loss that mentioned the same thing. Right now though I simply don't have the money to pay for an adoption with the fees of fixing them and shots.
