Honest question: Assume that I do in fact need a car. I've been driving Toyota since college on account of it hitting pretty much the sweet spot of affordability and reliability. Is there another car company that hits around that same realm that is less morally compromised?

For a new vehicle probably Mazda or Honda.

I’d love to give Ford a chance but the post 2020 reliability has not looked great. I had 07 Escape for 15 years that was an absolute work horse.

I don't think there are any 'good' car companies, due to extreme size they are all fuvkheads one way or another, often in many ways

less morally compromised

Basically nothing is a binary.

There was that investigation into privacy before that showed that literally every company they tested failed horribly. It might literally just be 'they all suck horribly'.
