If you mean a post, you can only chose one image to be the target of your post, but you can embed more in the text of your post.

If you mean a comment, I'm not sure the source of confusion. You can embed multiple images. The Lemmy Web UI should work, as well as all the clients I've used.

You just need to have the text:

![](url-to-image)

...in your comment text.

Most Lemmy home instances will be runnimg a pict-rs instance, and let you upload an image to it with a button near the comment text field and also add the above text to display that image in your comment in one go.

If you're trying and it's failing, there can be a maximum byte size placed on the pict-rs upload by your home instance, and it's possible that maybe your first image is below it and your second is not. There are also some image formats that wouldn't be recognized, if you're using something exotic for your second image

that could also cause the upload to fail.

I really wish Lemmy is simpler like Reddit when you just put photos in your post.

I wish on Lemmy you can just go to you're camera role and just click on or press on whatever photo you need for your post and when you posted your post you can just simply swipe left or right or click left all right and you can see all your photos in your post. Similarly like to Reddit way of doing it.

Lemmy need to be as simple like Reddit is.

Yes I am a Reddit refugee and I am looking for a alternative to Reddit because I got permanently banned off Reddit because the woke lefty mod cannot handle facts and logic.

Yes I need to get used to Lemmy. But so far Lemmy is pretty good.

I copied this to clipboard from my phone's photo album then pasted it directly into my post. Sh.itjust.works runs an image server that allows this and I'm guessing other lemmy instances do as well.

I copied this from image search results on duckduckgo and pasted it right in.

I do not know of a gallery view like you described where you can swipe left and right to view the images.

You know when you are on Reddit and you see a post got multiple Images in it and you can just click on the image in the post then you can swipe left and right to go back and forth and see all the images in that post, that what I mean.
