i think the average christian is about the same as they were before the bible was allowed to be translated. they still just listen to the priest who can twist the words into anything he likes it to mean, and instead of being unable to read the bible they just won't read it
then again if they actually read it they would probably stop being christians, worked for me anyway
Agree. It's where they get all this hateful nonsense from. They don't actually read it. They go to church and have someone read selected passages to them, which are then twisted to reinforce whatever propaganda the speaker wants to spew.
I too got the fuck out because I actually read the fucking thing and was like: "wow. This god character is a fucking monster."
I liked the Jesus character though. He seemed like a cool hang.
