And now today Israel can literally do anything it wants and the US will just be like "meh". Still fucking seething that RONALD REAGAN once managed to tell an Israeli PM to stop being a fucking idiot by bombing Beirut, even straight up calling it a "holocaust" to his face. And when the Israeli PM tried to be sassy he was like "No, fuck you, stop this horseshit NOW, I'm the fucking superpower here."

The fact REAGAN had more fucking spine regarding Israel than Biden or Trump (or literally every corporate democrat, really) fills me with an amount of rage that could rival Asura (from Asura's Wrath), Akuma, the Doom Slayer, and Kratos COMBINED. HOW DO YOU GET OUTFLANKED BY RONALD FUCKING REAGAN?????

Don't lionize Reagan too much on this. The Israeli invasion of Lebanon was far more controversial in internal Israeli politics (due to the promises of the Israeli PM that it would be a short and focused war, and became 'open-ended' under his command) and much less integral to long-term Israeli aims than the total extermination of the Palestinian people. Lebanon was attacked to deprive the PLO of a base - a goal they succeeded in before agreeing to cease operations.

Not only that, but Reagan was instrumental in the intertwining of the Israeli and US MIC, as well as AIPAC's increased influence over domestic US politics - the core of the issue of the US's attachment to supporting Israeli policies - including genocide - unconditionally.
