Burn Madrid
It has a general vibe and tech tree from imperator rome, the building and pop system from victoria 3, estates, modifiers and modifier stacking from EU4, characters from CK3.
It doesn't have the logistic or military complexity of HOI4, the economic or political complexity of Victoria 3, or the character depth of CK3, but it has a little seasoning from each paradox series.
Its does everything well, even if nothing is too extensive, and because it does a little bit of everything the systems all intermingle and interlock together. Everything feels like everything ripples across the game. Victoria 3 is my favorite paradox game but its war system feels like an accessory, you could take it out and replace it with some basic probability stuff and not much would really change. Honestly sometimes I forget to do war in V3. It feels like I'm constantly interacting with every one of the games systems, which makes it feel much more compelling.
