maybe ask your friend if the BPP were posh and then show her their reading list from 50+ years ago.
No she reads comics and romance slop ao3 stories online.

i've heard good things about "Absolute Batman" on here, and i think there's a Marx manga or something. Those aren't literally theory of course but maybe they're more approachable.

No she's told me she thinks its posh. It's a very common mindset amongst the working class in ireland, they think being literate is posh. My girlfriend who bullied at school for having good grammar despite growing up in the poorest part of Dublin and living with a single mom still in college.
