$86 for enough syrup to make 76 odd litres of coke....

starts researching home postmix

$1.13 a litre doesn't seem cheap.

Cheaper than petrol these days

How much is a litre of branded coke where you are?

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I don't think syrup vs supermarket bottle is a fair comparison. I buy cordial for a few bucks that makes ten litres. I only get coke at HJs when hungover. If you're regularly smashing high priced bottles of branded coke then maybe the $1.13 a litre is still good value to you.

I was thinking of soda stream cannisters , those are spenny

[โ€“] Taleya@aussie.zone 1 points 6 days ago

Yeah those have an insane markup. You can get a 2.5kg swap bottle for about $30-$35

By comparison a standard "60l" soda stream canister holds around 400g
