To clarify, folding laundry is currently one of the ONLY tasks that humanoid robots are good at. Anything more complex than that and they’d fail miserably.

The Xpeng humanoid robot’s selling point is in its smooth human-like motion and gesture, but so far they have only achieved the gesture part and haven’t been able to perform any sort of functional tasks.

The headline isn’t wrong because the competitions are the top-of-the-line “laundry folders” at this point.
