I just finished the first two episodes and before reading this article tried to think about what story this show is trying to tell, and I think the answer is, "what does it mean to be happy?"

Reading the article, sure enough, the author and I agree,

Pluribus is likely to get you thinking about, among other things, happiness (and the value of unhappiness)

The first episode is all about setting up the premise with hints of that overall theme, but the second episode really digs into it. The author of this article has seen 7 of 9 episodes, so it sounds like that's going to remain consistent. They mentioned other things too, but I do think it comes back to that core concept.

Right now, two episodes in, it feels like a miniseries. Maybe a film turned into a miniseries. Not in a bad way where it's stretched out, I think there is a lot to explore with this concept. But it is more of a concept.

In any case I'll definitely be watching the whole season, but each episode will be a nice treat when I get around to it, not a must was as soon as it airs.
