A federal agent who shot a Chicago woman multiple times after he said she struck his vehicle with her own bragged about his shooting skills in text messages with other agents, according to records presented Wednesday at a hearing in the case against the woman.

Records presented at the hearing showed that in a group Signal chat with other agents, which Exum described as a support group, he wrote in part: "I fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.”

In a message to another recipient, Exum sent a news article about the event followed by the message: "Read it. 5 shots, 7 holes."

Ok. Are you going to get in the game soon, or..? Because, from the other side of the pond, it looks like people are doing nothing but film their fellow countrymen and women while they're being kidnapped by fat men in non-official cameo clothes. We don't see much of anyone stepping in and play by the rules that, by now, is very much like some bad old western movie. We only see mothers and children being draged by insecure men that hides their faces, while no one does anything. Let me know when you've entered the game, though, I'm eager to see it happen.

We need to exhaust nonviolent resistance first, we're not even close to doing that. And what we've done so far (No Kings, recent blue wave, other protests, boycotts) is kind of starting to work.

Everyone on the internet acts like some kind of freedom fighter badass but anyone with common sense knows 1. most of those people are full of shit and roleplaying online and 2. a violent overthrow ends up with people in charge who are willing to use violence to get what they want. Historically that sort of thing has not gone well.

Nonviolence works, it takes persistence and patience, and is always preferable to another civil war.

We need to work in many different directions. Soap box and ballot box are working hard right now.

Destruction of property is a gray area. Obviously it can go too far, like setting a house on fire or destroying the east wing of the white house. But I was fine with them getting rid of the stupid Confederate statues. There are some options there.

Assassinations can be a bit murky, too. I'm fine with Luigi being a folk hero for people. Assassinations are extremely risky and of questionable effectiveness....but that one felt like borderline self defense. That sort of thing can escalate quickly but 47 is escalating either way.
