It's not really a major factor in picking a location for me. I generally like learning about the culture and history of a place, the climate is only a factor in regards to it's influence on those. The weather becomes a factor, but only in terms of picking the best time of year to avoid things like storms and heatwaves if possible.

There is definitely bad weather. Cyclones, hail storms, floods, severe heat waves. Clothes cannot protect you from the nasty extremes.
