Audible's new proposed royalty structure is a slap in the face to authors, readers who care about them, and exactly opposite of what they promised Brandon Sanderson barely a year ago.

It is an attempt to seize a monopoly by punishing authors until they agree to exclusivity, which would drive Audible's competitors out of the market.

Hey, I realize it’s been two months, sorry I dropped off the face of the Earth.

The first three Stormlight books are definitely my favorite. They were my first Sanderson books, and I was in a dark place when I started them, so Kaladin’s mental health struggles and Dalinar’s coming to terms with his past struck really close to home.

Wheel of Time was my dad’s favorite series of all time, though he did like the Sanderson books I recommended to him. I’ve only read the first two (and barely started the third), I should finish the series someday. I didn’t enjoy but really appreciated how unnerving Egwene’s time with the Seanchan was.
