DOGE's Plundering of Data Hastens Calls to Tighten Government Privacy Laws
(www.techpolicy.press)
Welcome! This is a community for all those who are interested in protecting their privacy.
PS: Don't be a smartass and try to game the system, we'll know if you're breaking the rules when we see it!
Some of these are only vaguely related, but great communities.
So what would help?
More than this?A brewery owner printing helpful suggestions on the bottom of caps, a kindergarten teacher prompting their class on 1/4 weekly art days each month to make macaroni pictures about how this is bad, doing YouTube videos of their speeches where their words are replaced with fart noises. Drawing some truly disturbing smut about it, maybe write something for ao3.
Enough?
We would have to restructure the entire ways we organize society. We might need to get rid of government altogether, but maybe we could get away with onlythe immediate cessation of all means testing and unnecessary data gathering, including by police and intelligence agencies. Getting rid of all policing and intelligence agencies would almost certainly be necessary.
