No one is that invested in Stranger Things. It is pretty obviously a soulless Netflix cash cow at this stage, people watch it for light entertainment and don't dwell on its quality.
There is no original version of the story being developed independent of the TV series. Fans can't get up in arms about it "not being the true ending" like they did with Game of Thrones.
Your show received backlash multiple seasons ago, and is already well past the point of becoming a joke. It's a bit late to be worrying about its reception.
