Saru is awesome, and Doug Jones is a genius actor. I think he has the most character growth in the show.
My point is Micheal isn't a good character in my opinion and I'm hopeful the writers won't have another character like her in Academy. If you disagree that's cool, reasonable minds can differ.
I want Trek to both be good TV and a good representation of Roddenberry's vision of the future. I'm glad I watched Disco, it brought new life into the fandom.

If you describe a female character who's not a Mary Sue as a Mary Sue for no reason other than because you don't like her, people will think you're sexist.
I don't care what Internet people think of me. I wrote nothing untoward and have been respectful in this conversation. No where have I said I don't like her, I only said she's a bad character fitting the Mary Sue archetype in my opinion and I have reasonable hope that SFA will be better than Disco. I can live with what I wrote. If you draw the conclusion that I am sexist, then that's your opinion.
If you do not want to see my opinions, feel free to block me and forget I exist. This is not worth your time or mine.
