There is nothing of value in a Joe Roegan podcast, and if the dude had any evidence for his claims he would have made them. Acting like Big Portabello is out to kill him is some stupid horse shit made up for the conspiracy nuts in the audience.
Not OP, and while I agree with your stance on Rogan, it doesn't change the validity of any claims made on the show. The claims are either supported by evidence, or they are not. Many sane and normal people go on shows, like Rogan's, to counter misinformation that's common everywhere.
That said, the obvious follow-up question is where else is the claim made, tested, and documented. And that's where it really falls apart. Most results when searching for his technical claims were just random people discussing this exact clip. Digging past that, all I could find were extremely vague and indirect sources.
How insightful. I'll add to my notes to discount all people who have ever been interviewed by Joe Rogan. A person I already don't watch but wanted to show the clip of him saying it. Thanks philosopher Catoblepas
Honestly yeah. If you want to really evaluate the claims made, no, but if you are going to doing quick dirty judgment calls about it, I'd argue dismissing most claims made on Joe Rogan about science(including health) as bullshit would probably make you more right than wrong.
Its the old bedlam patient problem. Its an ad hominem fallacy to dismiss a claim made by the muttering lunatic in the asylum but if you aren't going to look into it it's probably safe to assume its not true.
Seems you chose to be the fool and idiot today.
There’s a reason the dude is making those claims there and not in a scientific paper, and it’s not because Big Portobello is coming to kill him. And yeah, you should be less inclined to trust information from anyone who has been on there, but ESPECIALLY any information they’re claiming on the show itself.
Quite ironic how they're acting given what they've written in their bio
